Contacted Oregon Restoration about dealing with a mold issue that resulted from a leaking spa tub in our master bath. Ken came out to assess the damage, and gave a thorough explanation of what needed to be done. His crew arrived and spent an entire day preparing the area. The next several days were spent with the mold remediation and clean up. The crews did an amazing job, from beginning to end, with the utmost professionalism. We had a positive experience with Oregon Restoration (OR) for our water damage mitigation in 2/20. That was our 2nd time working with OR, and we were very pleased with the communication and work. However, when it came to the repair work in 6/20, we were really let down. We felt that the subcontractors' quality of work was not great, and OR's attention to detail as our GC should have been better. Thr drywall (specifically the mud work) seemed rushed and sloppy. We appreciate that the team returned to try and make it right, but we found that even the fixes were messy. We've spent a good deal of our own time cleaning up the fixes. The work should've been completed properly with care the first time around. The reason I hired OR as our GC was so I didn't have to spend time worrying about the details now that I have a baby (I've coordinated lots of other house projects over the years). However, throughout the process, I felt like I needed to inspect things in detail, otherwise issues would be missed (drywall issues, invoicing issues). Again, this was more of my time and energy and made our small project into a bit of a headache. These are challenging times to work in, and we're very appreciative of the work that was done well. However, in the end, the value just wasn't there for us to have them do our repairs; a good lesson learned.
